I remember going to the movies in 1991 to see this film. I had no idea what it was about but a friend had asked me to go with her so I agreed to go to see Silence Of The Lambs.
There’s nothing like being in a dark movie theater watching a film that is horrifying. The movie was good and kept my interest. I don’t really remember everything about this movie and my I was already losing my hearing so some of the movie I didn’t quite understand.
But I did understand that the re was a serial killer targeting women and skinning them. You couldn’t miss that part. The movie was a big hit starring Jodie Foster as a female FBI agent assigned to the case. Foster goes into a prison to interview a prisoner Hannibal Lecter played by (Anthony Hopkins) who is a psychiatrist but who is also a convicted cannibalistic serial killer.

The movie is very powerful and the actors were very convincing in their roles. So convincing that when I left the theater that night I was looking at everyone as though they were a potential serial killer.
When I got home that night I slept with the light on in the bathroom.

I went with a date whom I didn’t know very well, and left wondering the same as you, that anyone, even my date, could be a monster
